Reviews
(1-6 of 6)Go with the verb people know - Zoom
- Video conference.
- Integrates with RingCentral.
- Similar features to Zoom.
- Missing many Zoom features.
- Quality of sound and audio is an issue compared to Zoom.
- Our clients prefer Zoom and often express concern when they get a RingCentral invite.
RingCentral Meetings Transformed our Business
- Very easy to schedule and join meetings.
- The software doesn't get in the way of the purpose, which is to collaborate and have open discussions.
- Integrates with all other communication platforms in the company.
- The RC Meeting splash screen is always up (at least on the Mac version) and can't be hidden, it gets in the way.
RingCentral...taking the lead!
- Ease of use in scheduling and starting meetings.
- Ease of use in recording meetings which isn't always the case with competitive platforms.
- Great app for mobile purposes which makes a world of difference during travel.
- An area of improvement that I see which could simply be how I have it set up is how it imports contacts and email addresses on the mobile app. It doesn't seem to easily pull from Active Directory and relies on contacts being in my phone when many times, I'm including someone in a meeting who isn't an actual contact on my phone.
- Fast and easy to set up meetings, even with participants that are not an account holder in your organization.
- High quality streams, both video and audio.
- Reliable connectivity that is adaptable to hardware and bandwidth constraints.
- Has all of the basic features needed for the typical meeting (whiteboard, screen sharing, chat, recording, etc.).
- Ability to have webinar-style attendees (where they aren't known to each other or able to interact).
Good Value, Workhorse Solution, Nothing Fancy But Gets the Job Done
- Easy to start a meeting with video or audio
- Support lots of people connecting in to the meeting
- Recordings are easy to start
- Transferring ownership to another participant
- Easy to create recurring meetings
- It's easy to end up accidentally trying to run multiple meetings under the same account, which can cause churn and confusion for participants
- Interacting with people outside the organization is sometimes hard because RingCentral Meetings requires them to download and install software - there's no plugin-free way to get in to the conference (other than just dialing in via audio)
- A lot of our end users are repeatedly confused with how to select phone vs computer audio, so we end up losing time at the start of a meeting dealing with echoes on the line
- There's only two roles in a meeting - Host and Guest. When we have large meetings with remote team members, it'd be useful to be able to manage subgroups of participants - i.e. Team Members vs Executives, to be able to control who gets muted or who gets dropped at different times in the call.
- From time to time we encounter notifications of instability of the underlying internet connection, but then RingCentral isn't able to tell us if the issue was on our local network, intermediary sources, or their main service.
- Because RingCentral Meetings is just a white label of Zoom, RingCentral's support for the platform is more limited than for their other services.
Solid solution but similar to others you might be able to bundle with other things you currently use
- Very reliable. It never breaks on any of our devices
- Call quality is always fine
- Installation is quick for guests joining the meeting
- It connects to Outlook and Google calendar so it's easy to add invites from within the applications.
- It's just like many other zoom-based meeting tools. They are all based on this single technology that is just rebranded
- Other zoom-based meeting tools might be cheaper or offer other things you might want
- Nothing negative about this meeting tool. I really do like it and there is no reason to not use it since we get it free with our RingCentral phone accounts.
